Showville Season 2 is here!

SABC2's small town talent contest Showville is on the search for original acts from South Africa's small towns.

During auditions in your town, the coaches will be looking for four fabulous acts. The top four will be selected and mentored and coached by celebrated entertainers, Lorcia Cooper and Morena ‘The Squire’, over the next two days. After your two-day transformation, you will have the opportunity to show your stuff in front of a cheering audience!

So, if you have an unusual, quirky funny act, anything from juggling, magic tricks, unicycling clowns, comedy shows, contortionism, belly-dancing, gymnasts, speed-crocheting, whistling or more; they want to see you!

Remember, they are not just looking for singers and dancers. Everyone is welcome to audition. The more original your act, the better!

Acts can be from 1 person to 4 people maximum.

Do not wear any branded clothing to auditions – or subsequent shoots, should you be selected as a finalist.

Audition slots are 90 seconds each.

Audition and Registration starts at 10:30 and closes at 14:00 and includes pre-screening. Final auditions will be between 14:00 and 17:00, whereafter the four finalists are announced at 18:30.

All those who audition must be available to attend the finalist selection at 19:00 on the same day. Four finalists will be chosen from the auditioned acts.

Finalists must be available for the next 2 days to attend coaching sessions and other filming sessions. Finalists must allow the crew to visit them at their homes and, if they work, possibly at their places of work.

If there are too many people who arrive for the auditions, senior members of the production team will do pre-screening auditions. Given time and capacity constraints, the number of applications may also be limited by the producers without prior warning.
