Calling all DRAMA Queens and Kings, Cape Town

Men and women 20 - 59 Years old, Western Cape

PlayHouse Theatre is holding auditions for our upcoming Drama (to be staged in August) on 6 April, 2025 in the Playhouse Theatre's Foyer. We will be casting for one of the following titles (the selected title will depend on the outcome of the auditions, and will be communicated accordingly):

* THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY adapted by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa

* DR. JEKYLL AND MR HYDE adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher

Both of these pieces, as relevant today as they were when first written over 100 years ago, explore the duality of human nature and the moral expectations of society, and both offer the fantastical solution of a "second self" to carry the burden of one's vices.

Please note that the themes in both of these plays are quite dark and adult in nature, and as such, actors auditioning for these titles should be comfortable with this.
