Role: Voice* and Public Speaking Skills Facilitator

*Speaking voice, not singing voice

Type: Independent Contractor (variable hours)

This is a flexible, part-time opportunity. Workload and hours vary based on client demand and your availability, making this role ideal as a complementary income stream.

This role is particularly well suited to individuals who value meaningful, people-focused work alongside other professional commitments.

Location: Remote for virtual training (major advantage if based in Cape Town or Johannesburg, near major business centres, for in-person training)

About the Role

As a Voice* and Public Speaking Skills Facilitator, you will guide individuals and groups to develop greater confidence, clarity, and effectiveness in their use of voice and their ability to speak effectively in public settings. You will facilitate engaging, practical training sessions and support clients in achieving measurable growth in both skill and confidence.

Key Responsibilities

Train Confident Communicator clients using our existing training programmes as:

One-on-one and group sessions

Virtual training (and, if possible, in-person training)

Align our training programmes to meet the specific needs of our clients

Support clients’ development, including:

Tracking progress and identifying growth areas

Maintaining accurate and detailed records

Assessing progress and compiling reports

Providing ongoing feedback to the Director

Participating in relevant meetings and completing associated administration

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

A 3-year Degree or Diploma in Speech and Drama, Acting, Stage Performance, or equivalent

Experience

At least 2 years’ teaching or training experience in one or more of the following:

High school (Grade 10 and above)

University

Academic / Professional work environments

Resources

Applicants must have access to:

A laptop

Fast, stable internet suitable for video conferencing

Reliable transport (if based in locations suitable for in-person training)

Advantages

Based in Cape Town or Johannesburg, near major business centres

Tertiary qualification in Education (high school or higher education level)

Ability to facilitate multiple Confident Communicator courses

Additional relevant qualifications or experience
