kykNET calls for contestants

kykNET has acquired the rights to the British game show The 1% Club, now titled Die 1% Klub for South Africa. This edition is produced by Rapid Blue, known for shows like Come Dine With Me and SA's Got Talent. The search is on for contestants to join the show.

Contestants must have the following qualities:

• Quick witted

• Creative

• Analytical

• Puzzle loving

Applicants must meet these requirements:

• Be 18 years or older

• Be able to speak Afrikaans

• Provide their own transport to the studios located in Johannesburg

About the show:

Die 1% Klub is a fast-paced, logic-driven competition where 100 contestants compete in a battle of wits. The game starts with easier questions that 90% of South Africans should answer but increases in difficulty, culminating in challenges only the top 1% can solve.

Each contestant begins with R1,000, and incorrect answers eliminate players, contributing to a growing jackpot. As the game progresses, remaining players must decide whether to walk away with a share of the pot or risk it all to prove their place among the top 1%.

The prize for contestants is a share of R100,000.
