Audition call: Females needed, Durban

Women 20 - 30 Years old, KwaZulu-Natal

Are you female? Are you between 20 and 30? Are you based in Durban? Are you a professional or training dancer, or a physical theatre actress? Are you available full time between the 9th and the 18thof May 2016?

The auditions will be on Saturday the 7th May 2016 from 09:30. The auditions will be done with as a group audition till 13:00. So you have to be available from 09:30 till 13:00.

About the project:
“Rite of Spring” Is a remake of a theatre/dance production about young female identity. Theatre Company MAAS, based in Rotterdam (The Netherlands) wants to make in 9 day’s and experiment with the plan to develop it into a full production in 2017. The plan is to tour the production (in 2017) both in South Africa and in The Netherlands.

For now they are focussing only on the first step (9th till 18thof May). MAAS theatre works together with Thambo Theatre Producers in collaboration with Flatfoot Dance Company in Durban.

If casted they can offer you:
- A great opportunity to work with a leading director from the Netherlands Moniek Merkx and 3 of her actors/dancers.
- Be part of a project that has the intention to continue in 2017 in both South Africa and The Netherlands.
- A per diem of 250 ZAR a day for the 9 day’s you will be working with the team in May. There is no a performance fee.
