The producers of Showcasting is currently in South Africa, as part of its final casting for an international cirque production that will tour South Africa from September 2017 before heading on its world tour at the end of 2018. An exciting opportunity for local South African talents to be a part of a world class international musical cirque production.

As part of their final casting rounds and auditions, they are extending the opportunity to a select few dance schools/studios to put forward any male or female dancers who they would like them to consider extending an audition invitation to for a few of the dance ensemble roles.

At this stage they have made the following dance lead/ensemble roles available for these auditions, they include:

3 x Male dancers: Age 18 - 28: must be dance trained and/or experienced, and in particular strong dance ability in jazz, hip hop, musical theatre and/or contemporary dance) (a foundation in ballet will also be given preference, but must have one of the other dance techniques as a core skill as well)

2 x Female dancers: Age 18 - 28 : must be dance trained and/or experienced, and in particular strong dance ability in jazz, hip hop, musical theatre and/or contemporary dance) (a foundation in ballet will also be given preference, but must have one of the other dance techniques as a core skill as well.

Auditions will be held between Monday 17 July 2017 - Friday 21 July 2017.

Candidates will be sent confirmation of audition date, time and location on receipt of audition material below.

Please note that if successful, you will be required to prepare a 2+ minute solo dance piece and/or singing piece forthe second round audition. You will also be required to perform a short choreographed piece and/or music piece as selected by the casting panel.

This is a very exciting opportunity for young, local performers wanting to obtain some professional dance and theatre experience with an international production and company.
