Casting Call: Peppa Pig Live, Cape Town

Men and women 18 - 100 Years old, Western Cape

The 2018 South African production of Peppa Pig Live! is looking for excellent performers for their upcoming national tour.

They are looking for high-energy, engaging performers that are athletic, move well and up to the rigours of performing in this full-scale, touring theatrical show inspired by the hit preschool TV show.

Anna
A singing and dancing guide through the show.
Face actor. RP British accent. Female. Must be a triple threat - youthful, high energy and the ability to interact and improvise seamlessly with the young audience and character actors.

Peppa
Our 4-year old pig heroine.
Height: maximum 5'6" (1.68m)
Costume character. Any gender. Must be an excellent physical performer with great movement skills and mime ability.

George
Peppa's little brother.
Height: maximum 5'5" (1.65m)
Costume character. Any gender. Must be an excellent physical performer with great movement skills and mime ability.

Daddy Pig
Height: minimum 6'2" (1.88m)
Costume character. Any gender. Must be an excellent physical performer with great movement skills and mime ability.

Mummy Pig/Puppeteer
Height: minimum 5'11" (1.8m)
Costume character and puppeteer. Any gender. Must be an excellent physical performer with great movement skills, mime ability and puppeteering skills with 'muppet-style' hand puppets. Ability to lip sync hand movements to a pre-recorded track is vital.

Rehearsals in Cape Town from 12 - 24 March 2018.

Performances, travel and tech from 25 March – 9 April, 18 - 23 April & 16 June – 2 July 2018.

Industry-related remuneration, travel, accommodation and per diem included.
