Calling all groups of a DJ/Producer, Vocalist and Musical Performer of Choice! SABC1 is looking for YOU!

After record smashing ratings across the world and for the first time in South Africa, SABC 1 brings you the world’s biggest reality competition, the global hit sensation, THE REMIX! This ultimate talent throw-down has taken music to the next level! And now, you and your squad could be a part of the world’s most talked about reality music competition.

Across the globe groups made up of a DJ Producer, a vocalist and musical performer of choice have been battling it out, scratching, belting out vocals and playing their hardest, to remix some of the world’s most popular hit songs.

How it works:

Ten groups, each made up of a trio of a strong vocalist, DJ/Producer and musical performer of choice will compete head to head every week until only one group is left standing.

The winners will walk away with a fantastic cash prize. Groups will be tasked with creating a Remix within a given theme or musical genre. Working together, they must create a unique sound and bring new flavour to existing local and international hits. All this, while doing justice to the original track.

The groups will then perform their Remix in front of a live studio audience and star judges. They will be judged on the Remix that they produce as well as the performance they give. The worst performance of the night will be eliminated.

Make sure you’ve read the entry guidelines, terms and conditions carefully before you submit. Most importantly, you must be between the ages of 18 and 35 years old.

Entries close at midnight on the 30th of May.
