WHITE NOISE

Audition notice for White Noise. White Noise is a dramatic original play that will be put on at The Galloway Theatre.
A series of monologues performed by five people all with very different stories and backgrounds.

WHEN? Sunday, 22nd July.
WHERE? Byron Bure Academy of Theatre Arts.
Orange and Hatfield Street, Gardens, 8001 Cape Town.

TIME: 2pm-5pm.
WHAT TO PREPARE: Please prepare a dramatic monologue, 1-3min long. A monologue from the play will be provided on the day.
DATES OF PERFORMANCE: 21, 22, 23 November. (Please make sure you are available for these dates)

Character brief:

Steph
Steph is our central character. She is a quiet, stressed out young woman. There is clearly turmoil going on in her life. Steph is a strong character but is plagued by pain and hurt. She is in her twenties.

Margot
Margot is a promiscuous young woman filled with a lot of anger and bitterness towards men. She is a sex addict and is loud, brash and can make people feel uncomfortable at times. Margot is also in her twenties.

Nicola
Nicola is a dramatic and high-strung woman who drinks to mask the pain that has been caused from situations in her life. She has a dark secret that plagues her every day. Nicola is an unlikeable woman who is always blaming others for her troubled life. Nicola is in her late twenties to early thirties.

Riley
Riley is a ten-year-old girl (Please note that Riley will not be portrayed by a ten-year-old, her characteristics are that of a child) Riley is a disturbed individual. She has psychopathic traits and is easily angered. This is a tough role to play but is a good challenge. Riley should preferably be played by someone in from age 18 to 21.

Matthew
Matthew is a hard-headed young man with a kind and gentle heart. He is a drug addict with a troubled past. Matthew is in his twenties.
