Summary: The main character will be Themba, who works as a security guard. The film is loosely based on elements from a Vittorio De Sica film, called Bicycle Thieves. Themba is dependent on his bicycle to commute to work. His bicycle unfortunately gets stolen and a series of events takes place and we follow his struggle to get his life back together.

- A hardworking, self-sustainable man. He had to learn how to fend for himself after his dad had walked out on them when he was in his late teens. This forced him to start working at a young age because shortly thereafter his mother passed away. He is the film’s protagonist.

- She is Themba’s friend who operates a kiosk on one of the main roads that Themba encounters on a daily basis. Msizi often indulges in strange/mysterious happenings relating to certain African Folklore. He also has a kind heart and helps Themba as much as he can with the situation at hand.

- Alina is a free-spirited character that doesn't take that many safety measures in South Africa, due to her almost naive approach to the trust of humanity. She briefly encounters Themba in the film where they exchange a short piece of dialogue.

- Age: Late twenties

- Josephine has one scene that takes place in a taxi where she tells Themba she is pregnant and that the father of her child has abandoned them.
