Thami is a professional actor, graduated at the University of Cape Town in 2001 with Performers Diploma in Theatre.
Ever since 2001 he has done a number of productions both onstage and on screen.

Karoo Moose, Woyzeck, King Lear, Trojan Women, Onnest'bo, The Tempest, Green Man Flashing and Long Streets Night
Television & Films:
When we were Black 2, Shooting Stars, Madam and Eve, Isikizi, Ingoma, Tango, Nkululeko, Mad Dogs, Black Butterflies, 30 Karat Liebe, Uyakhumbula and Nkanyezi.
Beside acting, he is also a writer-director and passionate about development theatre and an activist.
He is a National Coordinator of Dance and Theatre Advisory Task Team appointed by Minister Nathi Mthethwa and also a General Council member of Creative Cultural Industries Federation of South Africa (CCIFSA)
His highlight was winning the 2008 Brett Goldin Bursary which allowed him some time at the Royal Shakespeare Company, Stratford upon Avon, England.
