am currently a second year student at Wits University. Acting has always been my passion for as long as I can’t remember. I performed in a few high school plays and I was part of Helen O Grady acting Academy for 5 years where we did many theatre performances. I got an opportunity to work during one of the performances and it allowed me to really fall in love with performance. Although I don’t have much experience I am very dedicated and motivated so I am always open to learning. I am Xhosa although I speak fluent English and can understand Afrikaans and Sitshwana. This may sound a bit cliché but my biggest inspiration is my mother. She grew up in a very poor household where she was lucky enough to get a bursary to University. Today she is the sole breadwinner to her family and many others. She motivated my sister and I to start a foundation called Sisters With Love where we spread love and joy to those who need it. For me acting is kind of paralleled to the thought of giving back and bringing others happiness. The thought that with every character I will play I get to impact someone’s life, even if it’s one person, then I know I have played my part in motivating someone else. I also feel as though there is so much potential and individuality in the South African entertainment industry that it would be an honor to be part of it.
