Jeanette
30 years old, Johannesburg, South Africa
My name is Jeanette Snyders. I believe that Autenticity Inspires.
I believe that one should follow your passions even when it takes you a while to get there.
I lived in Cape Town with the dream of going to Hollywood and starting a career.
Charlize Theron was my inspiration. Some would call me a idealist - I am happy to take on this term.
I had singing lessons from the age of 9 years old, until we moved when I was 13.
We moved to Namibia and I started modeling for 2 years. I also started singing in a church band.
Then we moved again, this time to Johannesburg. This time I had drama as a subject.
I loved it. And wanted to study drama. My parents refused.
So I studied BA Communication Science at Potchefstroom.
Whilst in University I joined the Serenade, hostels dramas, etc.
Then I went on a missions year where we had to perform shows and speak in front of big crowds.
I started working the year after that at a church where I preach and work with youth.
I am at a space where I want to pursue acting, modeling, and the stage.
So why am I writing all of these things? Recently I watched Funny Girl. Barbara Streisand then said: "I am a bagel on a plate of onion rolls."
I am that too.
