Hi, I’m Brent , based in Cape Town. I’m a passionate, outgoing and reliable person with a strong creative background and a love for storytelling through visual mediums. I’ve always enjoyed being part of projects that bring people together, whether it’s film, adverts, or live events, and I’d love the opportunity to contribute as an extra on set.
My career started in the industrial sector, where I gained years of experience leading teams, presenting, and working in professional environments that required commitment, punctuality, and adaptability. In recent years I followed my passion for creativity by founding my own videography and content business, working with brands, events, and productions. This gave me hands-on experience in front of and behind the camera — from directing and editing to occasionally stepping into frame.
I’m comfortable working long hours on set, following direction closely, and adapting to whatever role is needed in the background. I understand the importance of professionalism on set — being on time, being prepared, and respecting the process.
Outside of work, I’m a family man, husband, and father of three. My interests include cars, film, photography, the outdoors, and travel. I’ve always loved cinema and the behind-the-scenes world that makes stories come alive, which is why the idea of being involved in film and advertising excites me so much.
I consider myself approachable, easy to work with, and able to blend into any crowd or scene when needed. I’m open to a variety of roles, from general background work to featured extra opportunities, and I bring enthusiasm, energy, and a positive attitude to every set.
I’d love the chance to gain more experience in the South African film and advertising industry, and I believe my reliability, adaptability, and genuine passion for the craft make me a great fit for background work.
