19 years old, Durban, South Africa
My name is Chioma Amahle , a hardworking, energetic and goal-driven high school graduate from Durban, South Africa. I am known for my positive attitude, strong leadership abilities and the way I uplift and motivate the people around me. I work well under pressure and enjoy taking initiative when opportunities arise. I am naturally enthusiastic, adventurous and open to growth, and I thrive in environments where I can collaborate with others while also taking responsibility when needed.
During my time in high school, I studied Dramatic Arts as one of my subjects, which allowed me to develop strong communication, performance and creative expression skills. One of my most memorable experiences was performing as the First Witch in the school’s production of Macbeth. This role required confidence, stage presence and the ability to work closely with other performers to bring the story to life. Through drama, I gained valuable experience in acting, script interpretation and performing in front of an audience.
In addition to my academic involvement in drama, I also took initiative in the creative space at school by forming the school’s dance committee. My goal was to create a platform where students could express themselves through dance and creativity. Establishing the committee required leadership, organization and teamwork, as I worked with other students to coordinate activities and encourage participation in the arts.
Sports have also played a major role in my life. I am a dedicated multi-sport athlete and have participated in basketball, netball and athletics. In athletics, I competed in several events including the 100m, 200m and 400m races, as well as the long jump and high jump. Through dedication and consistent effort, I achieved several first-place finishes in athletics competitions. My involvement in sports has helped me develop discipline, resilience and teamwork skills.
In basketball, I was honored to receive the Player of the Year title, which recognized my commitment, leadership and performance on the court. Being involved in multiple sports has taught me the importance of determination, hard work and supporting my teammates, and it has strengthened my ability to perform under pressure.
Overall, I am a well-rounded individual who is passionate about both the performing arts and athletics. My experiences in drama, sports and student leadership have shaped me into a confident, motivated and enthusiastic person who is always eager to learn, grow and contribute positively to any environment I am part of.
